Each year, the Leadership Walton Class of the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce selects a community service project that focuses on isolating a need from an organization that does not have the capability to remedy that need. This year, the 2014 Leadership Walton Class has chosen to work with two community organizations to provide much needed renovations and critical updates to their facilities: the Walton County Arc, a community –based organization serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and the South Walton Senior Center.
The Arc project will focus a classroom and includes patching and painting the walls, replacing the old carpet, trim, installing base cabinets, and purchasing a wall mount television for the classroom wall. The South Walton Senior Center Project will include updating office furnishings, installing shelving for print material, providing patio furniture, and completing various smaller projects. In addition, an open house reception will be held at both locations to showcase the renovations and recognize these two valuable organizations.
The Leadership Walton Class of 2014 is seeking your help as we implement these projects and purchase the materials needed for completion and to support the two organizations.
