Official Rules:
The Walton County Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc. (the "Foundation") is conducting a raffle pursuant to Chapter 849, Fla. Stat., to raise funds benefitting the Foundation. These Official Rules govern the conduct of the raffle and are binding on everyone who purchases a raffle ticket and/or who is named on a raffle ticket. This 50/50 cash raffle is a fundraising activity in support of the Foundation which is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose address 63 South Centre Trail, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459.

 
One Grand Prize Winner will be chosen from the ticket holders. The holder of the winning ticket shall be entitled to receive, upon compliance with these Official Rules, the greater of: (a) fifty percent (50%) of the raffle proceeds; or one thousand dollars $1,000.00) (the "Grand Prize"). Please retain your tickets as proof of purchase. The winning tickets will be drawn at random at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, at the Sandestin Marina located at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort, 9300 Emerald Coast Parkway, Miramar Beach, FL 32550, from all eligible raffle tickets received. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win. The Grand Prize Winner will be notified either in person at the drawing or by telephone if the Grand Prize Winner is not present.
 
Members of the Foundation's Board of Directors, their spouses, and family are allowed to participate and are eligible to win. The Foundation's paid staff members and their spouses are not eligible to win. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. By entering this drawing, the ticket purchaser acknowledges that he or she is aware of, and agrees to abide by, the Official Rules and Regulations of this drawing. The price of entry does not qualify as a deductible/charitable contribution, according to the IRS. Check with your qualified financial advisor or tax advisor for additional information. The Grand Prize is non-transferable. No purchase, donation or contribution is necessary to enter, but a $20 donation is suggested per ticket. The Foundation reserves the right to limit the number of tickets distributed to each entrant. The odds of winning the prize will depend on the number of raffle tickets sold. Any person may receive one free ticket by requesting a ticket in person at the Foundation's office located at 63 South Centre Trail, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459, on any Monday or Tuesday leading up to the drawing but no later than September 12, 2017, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. All raffle ticket donations/contributions are final. No refunds will be made. No other refunds are available. The Foundation assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected or non-delivered mail or fax messages, or any other failure to receive orders or deliver receipts prior to the drawing deadlines.
 
The Grand Prize Winner must have proper identification when claiming the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize Winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, fees and charges when the prizes are transferred to the Grand Prize Winner. The IRS requires income tax withholding of 25% (at the time of printing) of the value of the prize, which must be paid prior to the winnings being delivered. The Foundation will file a form W-2g with the Internal Revenue Service to report the value of the prizes won. The Grand Prize Winner will also receive a copy of the IRS Form W-2g form reporting the value of the prizes and the amount of taxes withheld.
 
The Grand Prize Winner must contact Foundation for information on the completion of transaction and winnings delivery. The Grand Prize Winner agrees to allow the Foundation and the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce to use their name and likeness to promote future drawings. This offer is void where prohibited by law and all federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. The Grand Prize Winner must declare whether the Grand Prize Winner will accept the prizes within three (3) days of receipt of notification they have won to the Foundation by contacting Megan Harrison at (850) 267-0683. 
 
THE FOUNDATION DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE RAFFLE that are not stated herein. By participating in this raffle, each participant releases the Foundation, the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses or damages of any kind,  REGARDLESS OF WHETHER CAUSED BY NEGLIGENT OR WILLFUL CONDUCT, caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse OF THE GRAND PRIZE.  The grand prize winner agrees to indemnify and hold the Foundation, the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees and agents harmless from any and all losses, damages, costs, expenses, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the Grand Prize Winner’s acceptance, possession, use or misuse OF THE GRAND prize.  A RAFFLE PARTICIPANT’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR THE FOUNDATION'S BREACH SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE RETURN OF THE DONATION GIVEN FOR HIS OR HER RAFFLE TICKET(S). IN NO EVENT SHALL THE FOUNDATION BE LIABLE TO ANY PARTY FOR ANY LOSS OR INJURIES TO EARNINGS, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL,PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY PERSON OR ENTITY WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF THE FOUNDATION HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS RAFFLE IS GOVERNED BY the LAWS OF THE STATE OF fLORIDA.  ANY CLAIM OR DISPUTE AGAINST THE FOUNDATION WITH RESPECT TO THE RAFFLE MUST BE BROUGHT WITHIN ONE YEAR AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION ARISES.
 
 
the Foundation is a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization existing under the laws of the State of Florida and is a distinct legal entity from the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce.  The Foundation is conducting the raffle with the permission of, and limited assistance from, the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce, but the Foundation is solely responsible for the operation and conduct of the raffle.
