Job Description
FINANCE CLERK I

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Perform a variety of tasks related to the work performed in support of the Board of County Commissioners and the Circuit and County Courts of Walton County in the following functions: accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 
• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Minimum of one (1) year experience bookkeeping, accounting, or other related clerical activity; or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities to perform the job.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Operate with appropriate speed and accuracy all standard business machines;
• Communicate clearly and effectively; 
• Accurate and efficient use of a calculator;
• Ability to type 35 correct words per minute;
• Eligible to become a Florida Notary Public. 

Salary: $13.79 per hour
