Job Summary
Our team is growing and we are looking for an experienced, energetic sales representatives for our South Walton Area. You will be a key member focused on membership growth through effectively communicating the value of Partnership with the local chamber.
As a commission only sales representative, you will be responsible for selling memberships at predetermined levels to local businesses. There is also an opportunity for commissioned sales of ad space on waltonareachamber.com and event sponsorships.
This is a GREAT part-time opportunity for someone interested in establishing relationships that pay and allow you to create your own schedule.
Sales representatives will be responsible for in person meetings with potential clients, cold calls and emails. Reliable transportation and smart phone required. Laptop or tablet recommended. Must be able to manage accounts and establish strong professional relationships.
 
You will have a strong support system and will receive training from our team. Experience as a chamber member and general knowledge of the chamber of commerce will help in your success. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to meet key players in our community and establish lasting business relationships as well as attend wonderful community events hosted by the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce at no charge.



What does the position entail?
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and prompt follow-through
  • Aggressively prospect, develop, and close new business leads using a variety of sources
  • Cold calling and professional presentation skills are a must
  • Meet and exceed individual monthly sales goals
  • Ability to utilize technology to communicate with and engage clients
  • Self-motivated and highly goal-oriented in order to achieve sales targets
  • The ability to build relationships effectively
  • Must be able to work independently in a home office
  • Complete reports to update sales manager and team on account activity and emerging new opportunities
  • Attend weekly meetings with your Sales Manager in person or remotely
  • Will involve traveling throughout the community to visit potential business partners
  • Individually driven to work in a highly competitive environment where success is the only option
  • Relentless persistence in a competitive marketplace
