The Veteran’s Spouse Employment Program is open to veteran’s spouses who reside in Okaloosa or Walton County, are U.S. citizens, or are eligible to work in the United States. For more information, please visit; or contact Keysha Lott at 850.833.7587, ext. 207 or Background - While numerous resources are available to assist Veterans and active duty military transitioning to the civilian workforce, there was a lack of employment related services for spouses of military Veterans. CareerSource Okaloosa Walton is currently delivering successful employment placement services through the Military Family Employment Advocacy (MFEA) program to active duty spouses. In addition, the jointly managed Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) Disabled Veterans Outreach Program (DVOP) provides services to disabled Veterans and other eligible Veterans.  As a result of the outreach and service delivered through these programs, the need to provide Veteran’s spouses with employment readiness and placement services was identified.
