The Alys Foundation to Host 8th Annual Alys Beach 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run

The family-friendly race benefiting Children in Crisis, Inc. takes place Sunday, Sept. 1
WHAT: This September, runners and families will gather along the coast in Alys Beach for the eighth annual 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run on the Sunday, September 1, 2019. Taking place along scenic Hwy 30A, the certified 5K will wind through the resort town. The 1 Mile Fun Run, designed for children 12 and younger, will follow the 5K. After completion of both races, runners will be able to gather in the Alys Beach Amphitheatre for an awards presentation at 9 a.m., with tunes by DJ Shane from Rock The House, a giant bounce house, Beer by Idyll Hounds Brewing Company, and additional food and beverages for purchase. All proceeds will benefit the Children in Crisis, Inc. non-profit organization of caring people, working together to provide homes and keep brothers and sisters together. The price to participate in the certified 5K is $35 and the 1 Mile Fun Run is $15 (kids 12 and younger only) online in advance until Sunday, August 25 at midnight. From Monday, August 27 until Friday, August 30 at 5pm, the price to participate in the 5K is $50 and the 1 Mile Fun Run is $25. Any remaining registrations will be sold on Saturday, August 31 from 10am-2pm at the Alys Beach Amphitheatre during Packet Pick-up.
