The Walton County Board of County Commissioners provides non-profit organization, Safe Connections, with a newly remodeled historic building in DeFuniak Springs; Grand Opening on November 13, 2017.
Please join us for the Grand Opening of the newly remodeled building for Safe Connections in DeFuniak Springs! Take a tour of the facility, get to know more about Safe Connections, and enjoy barbeque and all the fixings provided by 4C BBQ and Century Link!
Recently, the Walton County Board of County Commissioners generously donated the use of a building in DeFuniak Springs to Safe Connections. The County has completely remodeled this historic building for the safety and comfort of the children we serve. We would like to express our gratitude by inviting everyone to our Grand Opening on November 13th from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, with a ribbon cutting at 1:00pm.
Last year, Safe Connections (previously the Judge Ben Gordon, Jr. and the Friends of the Family Visitation Centers) provided over 2,000 safe, supervised visitations and monitored exchanges. Service sites are located in Fort Walton Beach, Crestview, and DeFuniak Springs. This new space in DeFuniak Springs will provide a safe and secure location in Walton County for children and non-custodial parents to connect, whether for supervised visitation or a safe exchange for years to come.
“Protecting children while preserving parental bonds.”
