SUMMARY:2016 United States Police Canine Association Spring Trials
DESCRIPTION:Your assistance is needed to help make your community a safer place for your family and neighbors. One of the best tools in Law Enforcement is a highly trained and certified Police Dog Team. To ensure the quality of working Police Dog Teams\, it is necessary for handlers and their dogs to certify annually to maintain their courtroom standing and integrity.\nThe United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) Spring Trials will be held February 28 to March 4\, 2016 at the Howard Hill Soccer Complex in Niceville\, Florida 32578. The public is invited to observe these police dogs in action as they in these events.\n\nThis Non-Profit event provides Law Enforcement agencies from all over the Southeast to participate and nationally certify their working dog teams as competent to perform their specialized assignment. This certification includes Obedience\, Agility\, Suspect Search\, Article Search\, and Criminal Apprehension. The certification trial is open to Narcotics\, Patrol\, Bomb Detection and Cadaver dogs.\n\nThis important process requires the collection of donations and advertisement sales. Monetary and Product Donations are needed to support the week's events including food and beverage\, trophies\, raffle prizes\, and payment of judges for the trials. This event normally hosts approximately 60 dog teams from the state of Florida and nearby teams from other states. Your donation is tax deductible. \n\n \n\nA public exhibition is scheduled for March 03\, 2016 at 7:00 pm to allow citizen participation and education\, as well as\, to demonstrate the capabilities of these teams. The exhibition is a high energy\, entertaining\, and informative session held at Joe Etheridge Stadium in Fort Walton Beach\, Florida.  A program booklet is being constructed for the exhibition event and advertisement space is being sold at a very nominal rate. The event is expected to attract approximately 400 spectators and will be advertised by local media services prior to the event.\n\n \n\nThese Police dog trials bring together the best trained Police dogs in the region and are judged by USPCA Certified Judges.  Great strides in the standardization of training methods have been made through these dog trials.
