DESCRIPTION:The Florida Division of Emergency Management is hosting the 4th Annual Public-Private\n\nPartnership Summit January 19-20\, 2016 at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort in\n\nWalton County. The theme for the two-day event\, "Identifying the Win-Win through\n\nPublic-Private Partnerships"\, will focus on ways for the private sector and emergency\n\nmanagement to work together prior to\, during\, and after a disaster.\n\nThis year's event will feature large roundtable discussions on a variety of topics\, with\n\nopportunities for the audience to engage in the discussion. Attached is the registration\n\nform to be completed and returned to the DEM External Affairs team. Registration\n\ndeadline for the summit is Friday\, January 8\, 2016.\n\nThe Division recognizes the important role private sector partners play in all phases of\n\nemergency management. Working together before a disaster to identify the needs of the\n\nprivate sector and emergency management will reduce potential miscommunication\n\nduring and after an event. The roundtable discussions will focus on all phases of\n\nemergency management with the goal to identify the ways that emergency\n\nmanagement can assist businesses to prepare\, respond to\, and recover from a disaster.\n\nDiscussions can also highlight ways the private sector can support their communities in\n\nthe event of a disaster.
