DESCRIPTION:Walton Outdoors is pleased to announce we will be hosting the Explore The Outdoors Festival on Oct. 6\, 2012. The event will be held from 10 a.m.   2 p.m. at the beautiful Live Oak Landing RV Resort\, located at 229 Pitts Avenue in Freeport.\n\n\n\nThis fun filled day is geared towards introducing children to the wonders of exploring the outdoors. This event is free\, and open to the public. Hands on activities will include fishing\, boating\, kayaking\, stand up paddle boarding\, wildlife encounters\, interactive educational exhibits and much more.\n\n\n\nActivities and presentations include:\n\n  Fishing basics and ethics with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission  \n\n  Cast a line with Bass Pro Shop fishing pro\n\n  Fishing with Wounded Warrior Fishing Charter\n\n  Pontoon rides along Black Creek\n\n  Kayaking\n\n  Stand up paddle boarding with YOLO\n\n  Wildlife exhibit with Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge  \n\n  Nonie's Ark animal encounters\n\n  Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance touch tank\n\n  Birding in Northwest Florida with the Choctawhatchee Audubon\n\n  Florida State Parks watershed and sea turtle interactive presentations\n\n  Smoky the Bear and his friends from Forestry \n\n  Monarch butterflies and migration tagging with naturalist Joe Wyatt\n\n  Beekeeping with Dietrich's Honey Farm\n\n  Great outdoor giveaways for children\n\n \n\nAbout Walton Outdoors:\n\nWalton Outdoors is the online source for outdoor adventure in Walton County\, Florida and surrounding area.
