DESCRIPTION:Destin Area Chamber of Commerce members\, along with the Greater Ft. Walton Beach\, Niceville - Valparaiso - Bay Area\, and Walton County chambers of commerce members\, are invited to attend a legislative briefing hosted by the Florida Chamber of Commerce\, which is celebrating one of the most successful legislative sessions in its 90-year history. During the 2006 Session\, the Florida Chamber passed 17 of the 23 Florida Business Agenda priorities\, including major legal reform\, tax reform and economic development legislation.\n\nJoin the Florida Chamber\, along with Senators Clary and Peaden and Representatives Brown\, Coley\, Evers\, and Sansom\, for an insightful update on a wide range of business issues from the 2006 Legislative Session. Members of the Florida Chamber government affairs team will recap legislation that impacts the business community as well as unveil the Chamber’s 2006 legislative report card “How They Voted.” In addition\, the Chamber will recognize and honor those legislators who stood behind the business community with pro-business and pro-jobs voting records.
