Sponsored by the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra (NFSO) and the NFSO Guild, the finalists in the prestigious annual Concerto Competition will compete in a final round that is free of charge and open to the public. The finalist performances will be held in the Tyler Recital Hall of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center on the Niceville Campus of Northwest Florida State College starting at 9:00 a.m. The Northwest Florida Symphony Guild, in conjunction with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra (NFSO) and Northwest Florida State College, hosted the 25th Annual Concerto Competition, for students of orchestral instruments, piano, and voice who are 23 years of age or younger. Youth in the Concerto Competition compete for prize money and the opportunity to perform with the NFSO in a live “Stars of Tomorrow” concert to be held on February 17, 2012 at the Mattie Kelly Arts Fine and Performing Arts Center in Niceville.
