The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public hearing regarding median improvements on U.S. 331 from north of Bob Sikes Road / Corbett Drive to Bruce Drive in Walton County Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the DeFuniak Springs Community Center, 361 North 10th Avenue, DeFuniak Springs. The hearing will begin as an open house at 5:30 p.m. with a formal presentation at 6 p.m., followed by a public comment period.
This hearing is being held to provide interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed improvements. The intent of this project is to construct a two-way center left-turn lane, removing the existing raised median and landscaping on U.S. 331 in DeFuniak Springs from north of Bob Sikes Road / Corbett Drive to Bruce Avenue.
Maps, drawings, and other information will be on display at the hearing. FDOT representatives will be available to discuss the proposed improvements, answer questions, and receive comments.
