First Annual Grom Surf Competition by Billabong Grand Blvd and Aloha Surf co

Come spend a family-fun beach day with Billabong Destin! Our first annual Grom Surf Competition on May 9th at Pompano Joe’s (2237 Scenic Gulf Highway, Miramar Beach) is all about giving local kids the chance to experience friendly competition in a supportive, high-energy environment—no experience required. It’s a great opportunity for young surfers to build confidence, feel uplifted, stay active, and grow their passion for the sport.

The entry fee is $50, with proceeds benefiting local charities including the Children’s Advocacy Center and South Walton Turtle Watch. The first heat begins around 9:00 AM, and the event runs until 1:00 PM. We’ll have divisions for all skill levels, plus free swag bags, trophies for winners, and giveaways throughout the day to keep things fun for the whole family.

Registration must be completed in-store, as a signed entry form is required for all participants.
