Six million additional residents will call Florida home by 2030, requiring an additional two million jobs. Is Walton County ready for its role in these imminent changes? To prepare for such growth, and to ensure future success, the state of Florida requires a plan that develops high-wage jobs, diversifies the economy, and supports global competitiveness while creating vibrant communities.
Through a series of interactive town hall events across the state, the Florida Chamber Foundation's two-year research program will engage business and community leaders in identifying key trends and factors that can drive regional economies.
The West Florida Regional Planning Council and the Florida Chamber Foundation will hold a public meeting and discussion in Walton County on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, 2 - 5 p.m. at the Freeport Community Center located at 16040 US 331 South in Freeport. Help write the next chapter for the state of Florida.
