The City of DeFuniak Springs Mayor, City Council and City Manager invite all residents to the Town Hall meeting which will be in the main room of the Defuniak Springs Community Center. The Mayor and Council will be sharing with the audience some of the challenges the city is facing as well as proposed projects that are in the works. We would love to hear from our guests as to their opinions and ideas of what they would recommend, change, or leave as they are. Your suggestions and questions are welcome. We look forward to your input. There will be light refreshments served.
Chief James Hurley welcomes all citizens to stop by the new location of the City Police Head Quarters located at 99 S 18th Street between the hours of 11:00AM and 3:00PM. The Police Department will be giving tours of the new facility and will serve hot dogs to all visitors.
Tuesday, October 18, 2022 - of the New City of Defuniak Springs City Hall and Showcase the City, 4:00PM – 7:00PM, 1350 Baldwin Avenue
Come by and meet city staff, City Manager, Mayor, and elected officials. See the locations of each department and the new city council chambers. Each department of the city will setup in the new City Council Chambers and will highlight the daily activities of their department. This will be an excellent opportunity to visit with staff, ask questions and get to know about services the city offers to the public. There will be light refreshments served.
Tuesday, October 18, 2022 - about Friends of Magnolia Cemetery, 5:30PM in the City Hall Training room on the first floor. During the Open House at the new location of City Hall, Cemetery Coordinator Christopher Mitchell will hold an educational class showcasing the Magnolia Cemetery. Mr. Mitchell invites anyone who is interested in learning all about Magnolia Cemetery and all about what you need to know but do not know to ask.

The DeFuniak Springs Beautification, Trees & Parks Board and Justin Baldwin from the Office of Florida Greenways & Trails Foundation have partnered with the City of Defuniak Springs to bring awareness to our parks and paths within the city. This workshop is for all citizens who like to be outdoors and who would like to participate in discussions about our city parks, paths, and trails and who would like to share ideas on how to enhance our parks and trails (biking, walking). There will discussions about outdoor recreation and how to enjoy your time in the outdoors. There will be light refreshments served.
***Special note: There may be more than two board members of the City Beautification and Tree Board present at this workshop. ***
Thursday, October 20, 2022 - “Buried American History” Walking Tour of the Magnolia Cemetery, at Dusk, 5:30PM -7:30PM. Light refreshments will be served.
