Gain an overview of the Florida APEX Accelerator and SBDC programs as well as the federal government's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. We will cover the tools and resources which small businesses can use to further research and development (R&D) in addition to strategies for how best to engage with a Department of Defense or other government customer. The SBIR and STTR programs are very competitive programs which encourage domestic small businesses to engage in federal R&D with the potential for commercialization. Through a highly competitive awards-based program, SBIR and STTR programs help small businesses explore their technological potential and provide the incentive to profit from its commercialization. By including qualified small businesses in the nation's R&D arena, high-tech innovation is stimulated and the country gains entrepreneurial spirit as it meets its specific needs. This is a hybrid event – presented both in-person and online. You may choose which way you prefer to attend when you register on our website.
