The community is invited to join Habitat for Humanity of Walton County, Florida on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. for a home dedication and bus tour to celebrate the 38th and 39th Habitat for Humanity homes in Walton County.
One of the two new Habitat homeowners, Brandy Odom, is Habitat’s 10th family to graduate off the Walton County Housing Agency’s U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) voucher assistance program. The grant gives the means to provide rental assistance to very low-income families in Walton County. Sponsors, dedicated volunteers, staff, and the community will gather to celebrate this tremendous accomplishment and milestone.
The home dedication will begin at 9:00 a.m. at 109 West Toledo Avenue in DeFuniak Springs. Following the dedication, attendees will be taken on a bus tour showcasing the newest Habitat home under construction, 14 lots in Mossy Head – Habitat’s future Hope Village community, as well as its two SHIP Home Replacement Projects.
This is a time to recognize the hard work of the volunteers and thank the sponsors for helping Habitat to continue building homes in Walton County. To attend the home dedication and celebrate with Habitat, please email Teresa Schultz at admin@waltoncountyhabitat.org or call 850-660-1681.
