How much is miscommunication actually costing you?
Not in theory. In real numbers. The project that had to be redone. The deadline that slipped because two departments had "different understandings." The great employee who quit and said in the exit interview that they "never really knew what was expected."
Here's the uncomfortable truth most leadership training tiptoes around: the problem usually isn't your people. And it isn't you, either. It's the invisible gap between what gets said and what gets heard, and almost no one has ever been trained to see it, let alone close it.
Think about your last week. How many times did you re-explain something you were sure you'd already covered? How often did you review work and think, "How did they get ~that~ from what I said?" How many meetings ended with nods and started over the next day with confusion?
You've probably tried the usual fixes. More meetings. Longer emails. Detailed SOPs. Follow-up messages to confirm the follow-up messages. And still, things fall through the cracks because none of those fix the actual problem. They just add more words to a channel that's already leaking.
This workshop takes a completely different approach: instead of telling you where communication breaks down, it lets you feel it.
Here's what the experience is like:
You'll work in pairs and small groups on a series of deceptively simple challenges — ones that seem easy right up until the moment they're not. Within minutes, you'll watch confident, articulate, experienced leaders (including yourself) discover just how much of their "clear communication" depends on assumptions the other person doesn't share. It's humbling. It's hilarious. And it rewires how you talk to your team — because you'll never again assume that "I said it" means "they got it."
Between rounds, we debrief. This is where the real work happens: connecting what just occurred at the table to what happens every day in your business. The instruction that seemed obvious to you. The question your employee was afraid to ask. The feedback that landed as criticism when you meant it as coaching. You'll leave this training with language and tools you can use immediately — not concepts to file away, but phrases and habits to use in your very next conversation.
What actually changes after these two hours:
You'll diagnose miscommunication before it costs you — spotting the moment understanding breaks instead of discovering it a week later in botched work. You'll ask questions that surface what your people are actually thinking, instead of questions that just collect nods. You'll give direction that works even when you're not in the room to clarify — which is the difference between a team that waits for instructions and a team that takes initiative. And you'll build the kind of psychological safety where your people tell you the truth early, while problems are still cheap to fix.
For owners and managers, there's a bigger payoff underneath all of it: you stop being the bottleneck. When your communication lands the first time, you delegate with confidence, your team moves without constant check-ins, and you get back the hours you currently spend repeating, correcting, and refereeing misunderstandings.
This isn't a lecture, a webinar, or a slideshow with a workbook. It's two hours of doing, laughing, failing forward, and connecting with other Florida panhandle-area leaders who face the same challenges you do. Many past participants say the conversations with fellow business owners were worth the seat alone because it turns out everyone's fighting the same invisible gap, and nobody talks about it.
Seats are intentionally limited to keep the experience personal and the conversations honest. If leading humans is part of your job — this room was built for you.
