Walton County Public Library System will present a Robotics Program for students in 4th grade and up.
There will be two class sessions covering Arduino microprocessors, coding, and robotics. During this hands‐on series, participants will build their own robot and learn how to program an Arduino to control the robot’s movements. Participants should attend both classes and be accompanied by their parent or caregiver.
Classes will be on Thursday at the Walton-DeFuniak Library on July 20th and 27th from 3:00 – 5:00 PM, on Friday at the Freeport Public Library on July 21st and 28th from 3:00 – 5:00 PM, and on Saturday at the Coastal Branch Library on July 22nd and July 29th from 3:00 – 5:00 PM.
Class size is limited so pre-register at your local library or call 892-3624.
Attendees are encouraged (but not required) to bring a laptop computer. Those with a laptop must download the free Arduino software from https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software before the first class.
For download assistance, call 892-3624. This robotics series is part of the Northwest Regional Library System’s Scientist in Residence grant project, funded under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the Florida Department of State's Division of Library and Information Services.
