Full-Time ReStore Associate (Sales & Intake)

Habitat for Humanity of Walton County ReStore is seeking a dependable, customer-focused, and hands-on team member to join our ReStore team. This position supports both the sales floor and donation intake operations, helping ensure donated items are processed efficiently while providing excellent service to customers, donors, and volunteers.

Position Summary

The Full-Time ReStore Associate (Sales & Intake) plays a vital role in the daily operations of the ReStore. This position assists customers, accepts and processes donations, merchandise products, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment. Team members work closely with staff and volunteers to support Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

  • Provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, donors, and volunteers.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, purchases, and loading merchandise.
  • Promote a welcoming and positive shopping experience.
  • Support sales floor operations and merchandising efforts.

Donation Intake & Processing

  • Accept, inspect, and process donated items.
  • Assist with unloading donations and moving merchandise throughout the store.
  • Evaluate donated items for resale potential.
  • Help price, tag, and prepare merchandise for display.

Store Operations

  • Load, unload, test, clean, price, and merchandise donated items.
  • Maintain attractive and organized product displays.
  • Assist with inventory movement and warehouse organization.
  • Ensure the sales floor, warehouse, and intake areas remain clean, safe, and orderly.

Team Support

  • Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
  • Assist with special projects and store events as needed.
  • Support Habitat for Humanity's mission through positive engagement with the community.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and adaptable.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Availability to work Saturdays.
  • Retail, warehouse, customer service, or nonprofit experience is a plus, but not required.
