About Us

Since 1967, the Emerald Coast Council on Aging (ECCOA) has helped Walton County seniors stay independent, active and connected while living safely in the homes and communities they love.

Today, ECCOA is proud to bring the nationally recognized Meals on Wheels America name to our community as the only Meals on Wheels America member organization currently serving Florida’s Panhandle.

And we’re busy! At our current service level, ECCOA will annually serve approximately 40,000 meals to more than 225 seniors through Meals on Wheels home delivery and our community meal centers. We also provide approximately 30,000 hours of in-home services and 2,500 hours of professional case management—helping seniors with homemaking, companionship, respite, shopping, caregiver support and access to essential resources.

But ECCOA is about more than services. Our senior centers are places to connect, laugh and stay active through meals, games, activities, education, special events and even our annual Senior Prom!

Supported by federal and state programs, grants, community partners, donors and private-pay services, ECCOA continues to grow and find new ways to serve our community.

For nearly 60 years, we’ve been here for Walton County’s seniors—and we’re just getting started!

Great meals. Helping hands. Stronger connections. Better aging.
