When disaster strikes, Walton County Emergency Management is here to serve the residents, businesses, and visitors of Walton County.
Our department is responsible for all aspects of disaster management, including mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery for all types of natural, technological, or man-made hazards. The Emergency Operations Center is responsible for streamlined resource management and effective communication among responding community partners.
Our mission is to prevent, mitigate, prepare, respond, and recover from all hazards, emergencies, and disasters using a whole community approach.?Through effective public education and strategic community partnerships, our vision is to further Walton County’s resiliency from future disasters and instill community preparedness for years to come.
