Friends of the Coastal Branch Library Announces their BIGGEST Book Sale of the Year to Benefit Local Programs in Walton County

SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL – [September 03, 2025] – The Friends of the Coastal Branch Library are gearing up for their biggest book sale of the year on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Coastal Branch Library located at 437 Greenway Trail in Santa Rosa Beach. This highly anticipated community tradition draws book lovers, families, and collectors from across Walton County and beyond, offering thousands of items at unbeatable prices—all while supporting the library and its programs.

Shoppers can browse through tables and shelves packed with thousands of books, vinyl albums, cookbooks, CDs, and DVDs. Paperback books will be available for just $1, most hardcovers are priced at $2, and a large selection of cookbooks will also be available for only $1. Vinyl albums are $2 each, while CDs and DVDs will be sold at 3 for $1. Families will especially enjoy the popular children’s book section, with titles available at 5 for $1 while supplies last.

In addition to the usual wide-ranging selection, this year’s sale features special collector donations, including subject sets in astronomy and architecture, multi-volume hardcover collections on Abraham Lincoln and Winston Churchill, and extensive works by bestselling authors such as Stuart Woods, James Patterson, Stephen King, and Clive Cussler.

“This is truly one of the biggest and best events we host all year,” said Carol Buchanan, Book Shop Manager. “It’s more than a sale—it’s a chance for our community to come together, discover incredible deals, and support programs that keep our library vibrant and thriving. Every book purchased helps fund events and resources that benefit all ages across Walton County.”

All proceeds from the book sale directly benefit the Friends of the Coastal Branch Library, funding essential programs such as the Summer Reading Program, the Adult Winter Series, and Artist Receptions. These programs foster literacy, creativity, and community connection, ensuring the library remains a hub for learning and enrichment.

Attendees are encouraged to bring cash or checks, as card payments will not be accepted. All sales are final, with no returns.
