HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital Names Katie Henley Vice President of Quality
Experienced healthcare leader brings more than 23 years of expertise in quality improvement, patient safety and clinical operations
NICEVILLE, Fla. — September 9, 2026 — HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital has named Katie Henley, MHA, BSN, RN-BS, CPPS, as vice president of quality, effective September 20.
Henley brings more than 23 years of healthcare experience and a strong background in clinical operations, quality improvement, patient safety, accreditation, regulatory readiness and organizational change. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a passion for advancing high reliability, strengthening a culture of safety and improving the quality of care for patients.
“Katie’s experience, collaborative leadership style and commitment to safe, high-quality, patient-centered care make her an excellent addition to our leadership team,” said Todd Jackson, Chief Executive Officer for HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital. “Her ability to engage teams, build trust and translate complex quality and safety priorities into meaningful improvements will be a tremendous asset as we continue advancing the care we provide to our community.”
Henley joins HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital from HCA Florida West Hospital, where she has served as director of patient safety and risk management since 2019. In that role, she has provided leadership across quality, risk, compliance and patient safety while partnering closely with physicians, executives and frontline colleagues to improve safety and quality outcomes.
Henley has also achieved measurable results in strengthening a culture of safety. Under her leadership, close-call and near-miss reporting increased by 108% year over year, and she helped lead patient safety initiatives that met or exceeded established performance goals.
Prior to joining HCA Healthcare, Henley held leadership roles in quality improvement, accreditation and nursing operations with Baptist Health Care and Ascension Sacred Heart. She began her career as a critical care nurse, providing a clinical foundation that continues to inform her approach to quality and patient safety.
Henley earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration from the University of West Florida. She is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety and a licensed Florida registered nurse. Her professional development includes HCA Patient Safety Director University, HCA Quality University and the HCA Leadership Institute Academy.
Henley is also a 2025 Leadership Pensacola graduate, serves as a mentor with Pensacola Young Professionals and was recognized among the Top 10 Healthcare Risk Management Leaders in 2023.
