Doolittle Institute Seeks Community Volunteers for FIRST LEGO League Challenge Events

NICEVILLE, FL, Sept. 15, 2026 — Doolittle Institute is seeking community volunteers to support local FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge events during the 2026–2027 season.

This year’s FIRST LEGO League Challenge, BIOGLOW™, part of the 2026–2027 FIRST CANOPY™ season, encourages students to explore biodiversity and the ecosystems that sustain our planet. Teams research real-world environmental challenges, develop innovative solutions, and design and program LEGO robots to complete mission-based challenges.

Community volunteers are essential to the success of FIRST LEGO League Challenge events, helping create memorable STEM experiences for students while supporting the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.

Doolittle Institute is looking for volunteers to support events throughout the season. Both STEM and non-STEM volunteers are encouraged to participate. Opportunities may include supporting robot competitions, judging, event operations, team coordination, and general event support.

Volunteers may participate on Friday afternoons, primarily supporting event setup, or on Saturdays during competition events. No prior FIRST LEGO League experience is required for many volunteer roles, and training will be provided where needed.
